DA.AI Takes on Corporate Social Responsibility as Duty and Mission

“As we are all citizens of the planet, thus it is our duty and mission to protect the Earth.” Carrying such duty and mission on our back, and Dharma Master Cheng Yen’s teaching of “prolonging material life span to earn wisdom and blessing,” and “coexist with the Earth,” DA.AI Technology has dedicated itself on the path to guard the environment for the past 5 years. It is also such spirit and continuous work that won the recognitions from the 2014 Common Wealth Magazine CSR Award evaluation committees, and eventually awarded DA.AI of the small and medium enterprise group, and the Best First Timer special award.

Eight year has passed since the first Common Wealth Magazine CSR Award, which follows the UN Global Compact, OECD, and the Dow Jones DJSI evaluation guideline. This year, with around 2000 applicants, the committees picked out 50 outstanding Taiwanese companies to praise their dedication in corporate social responsibility. DA.AI, being a rare nominee from the eco-textile industry, stood among these 50 large corporations, many of which from the high-tech industry, and received bronze medal of CSR award in Small and Medium Enterprise group, and gold medal of the First Timer Special Award.

On the award ceremony, DA.AI’s General Manager, James Lee, shared that “the Brazil World Cup this year and the jersey of 10 countries proved that apparel made with recycled PET bottle can be as comfortable as new, and also saves resource and low Earth’s bear. We are the only company that is able to bring our winning products onto this stage; everything I am wearing today is made out of recycled PET material, this is how we implement the idea of environmental protection in everyday life.” The Design Director, Cathy Hung, further added, “DA.AI’s apparel design not only serves the purpose of environmental protection education, but also the elegance human manner and attitude through its design humanism spirit.”

Other than the 2014 Common Wealth CSR Award, DA.AI has also received 2011 Taiwan Time Magazine CSR Award, and 2013 Manager Today CSR Award. We thank to all these recognition and motivation that drives DA.AI further on the path of corporate social responsibility, and we hope with our strong core values, we will continue to fulfill our duty and mission toward the Earth, and further influence others to do the same.
