L’Aurore Formosane Interviewed the Great Love of Formosa

Established by a group of Taiwanese students, L’Aurore Formosane is one of the few international magazines introducing the Taiwanese culture and history that has successfully penetrated the French mainstream society. The name of the magazine, L’Aurore Formosane, stands for dawn of Formosa – Taiwan, and wishes to bring the French readers the true beauty and hope of Taiwan like the rising sun.Formosa, an old and beautiful name of Taiwan given by the Portuguese around 15th or 16th century, when a Portuguese ship sailed to Japan, but accidentally encountered an island not drawn on the map. The view of the island was so beautiful that the sailor exclaimed “ilha Formosa,” meaning beautiful island, and ever since then, the word “Formosa” got passed on as a special name representing Taiwan.
DA.AI Technology, being the one and only company combining environmental protection with charity, demonstrates another dimension of Taiwanese beauty. To record the Great Love gathered upon this platform, the L’Aurore Formosane editorial team came to interview DA.AI’s General Manager, James Lee, to learn about the history and mission of the company.
After the interview, the magazine editor, Shu Zhong Wei, shared, “I am touched by DA.AI’s ideology in environmental protection and loving the planet. It is not easy to find the balance of expressing such ideology to the maximum, as well as being a self-sustainable corporation, it requires a strong belief and perseverance.” The Magazine Director, Sun You Rong, further shared, “as normal company pursues after higher revenue and lower cost, it is hard to imagine a company like DA.AI still exist with zero loan and stable growth. Both the management and ideology of DA.AI are very impressive, and should be known as the role model of green industry worldwide.”
Hundreds of years ago, Taiwan was known as the beautiful island “Formosa,” and what DA.AI is doing today, combining the help from over 200,000 Tzu Chi environmental promoters and 50 cooperating partners, is to protect the beauty of the land, and showing the world the loving attitude towards protecting the planet through power of branding and humanism spirit.
