The worldwide famous Japanese design competition - “Good Design Award” has a long history. Ever since the “Good Design Award System” set up by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion in 1957, nearly forty thousand excellent works were awarded in the past 57 years. Evaluation criteria include idea, detail, and concept conveyed to the society. Applicants include physical products like industrial, architecture, and residential design, as well as intangible products like application, service, and business mode.DA.AI Technology is the only brand which demonstrates the green eco-friendly textile products inTaiwan. In this year’s Good Design Award, DA.AI applied with its Heritage Series and the Compassion Technology Series. Through this famous international competition, DA.AI can display the design and technology of green eco-friendly textile industry, communicate the eco-friendly concept, and connect the sincere love and recognition from people all over the world.
DA.AI’s Heritage Series inherits the traditional Chinese apparel aesthetic, and expresses the virtue of “order and manner.” Presenting Pureness Series (white), Accommodation Series (gray), Silence Series (black) and Sincerity Series (fleece), the design of the Heritage Series emphasizes on eco-friendly, simplicity, and elegance. Solemn and simple color with elaborated detail completely demonstrate the apparel aesthetic from inside out.
The Compassion Technology Series, including the 2in1 Functional Jacket/Pants, Eco Solar Backpack, Eco Solar LED Cap, Magical White Pants, and Anti-Punctual White Shoes not only protect Tzu Chi volunteers’ safety, but also provide daily necessities for the disaster victims. The 2in1 functional jacket combines waterproof and water vapor transmission functions, and is filled with cotton inside to provide warmth and comfort up to -24℃ of cold weather. For the sake of Tzu Chi volunteers’ safety, Anti-Punctual White Shoes is designed to stand up to 112kg of weight and will not hurt the feet while stepping on sharp object. The Magical White Pants helps to resist damp and dirtiness. The Eco Solar Backpack offers battery charging for other portable electronic products via the solar panel. Finally, the Solar Power LED Cap gives light to the volunteers in the dark and shines their way while contributing in disaster relief work.
Good Design Award will announce the 2014 winners in October, other related activities, including Best 100 Announcement, Good Design Exhibition, and annual publish will follow up. By receiving recognition on the international stage, DA.AI Technology is looking forward to encourage and inspire more people to join its efforts in protecting our Mother Earth and give back to society.
