Chin-Lon Lin, M.D., Chief Executive Officer of Tzu Chi Medical Hospital, was Invited to share Tzu Chi Hospital's experience in “Green Healthcare,” including setting up solar panels and rainwater harvesting systems. Mr. Howard Catton, Director of Health Policy of International Council of Nurses (ICN) stressed "nursing practitioners are one of the most trusted professionals in every country, so they can act directly on delivering environmental or educational messages."
Dr. Kwua-Yun Wang, President of Taiwan Nurses Association (TWNA) also shared, "we can also see that nurses can provide patients health-related knowledge; in fact, nursing practitioners really play a very important role in green medical care since they can educate patients and exert their influence. Cathy Hung, Art Director of DA.AI, said "these healthcare workers across Asia are so aware of the importance of environmental protection, so we show them the physician gowns or nurses outfits made by PET bottles to convey eco message.”
This year, a total of 10 countries and more than 70 nursing practitioners have participated this event. Together, DA.AI joined as well to give them an amazing eco-friendly catwalk show. Medical and environmental experts from all regions shared their green experiences and recognize their role in the issue of climate change and green healthcare.
