The 8th International Innovation and Invention Competition (IIIC) held its award ceremony on November 29th, 2017, in the Ambassador Hotel of Taipei. The award ceremony invited Dean of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, the President of the IAU University, the CEO of the Korea Invention Association, and worldwide experts to participate the innovative festival, providing the organizer, co-sponsor, and all participants a cross-cultural exchange opportunity throughout the event. Moreover, DA.AI’s super functional pressure garments for limbs received a gold medal in this competitive event.

This year, 338 entries were submitted by 10 countries and regions, including Taiwan, Indonesia, China, Thailand, Russia, Malaysia, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Croatia, and Romania. Upon receiving the gold medal, DA.AI’s R&D Director, Dr. Lori Chen, said, “the Formosa Water Park explosion in 2015 left nearly 500 young burn patients suffering through trauma. DA.AI developed high elastic and breathable pressure fabric out of Dharma Master Cheng Yen’s compassion, seeing patients suffering from their rehabilitation process.”

Based on precise measurement of each individual patient’s body sections, DA.AI’s pressure fabric contains the benefits of Nano-cool jade powder and cross-section nylon yarn to maximize breathability, sweat dredging, and cooling effect to skin. In addition to its medical applications, the breathability with high elastic properties can also be used on non-medical sport accessories and casual wear. DA.AI develops LOHAS Waist/ Wrist/ Ankle Guard, made by pressure fabric with supreme elasticity and strong support, to protect People’s health. The pressure fabric was initially developed to help burn patients to recover from hypertrophic scar, and further extended to practical health product line of the company, extending the compassion to daily use.
