(Photo by: DA.AI Technology Co., Ltd.)Time only travels forward, and everyone’s life journey from beginning to end only goes one way and never backward. According to Buddhism’s point of view, birth is the beginning of death, but death is also the beginning of next life. Thus, death isn’t necessary a lost, for the spirit of love will continue on and be remembered. Indeed, remembering the ones passed away isn’t attaching to the past, but rather giving the person the fullest blessing that spans across future lives. Life may end, but blessing becomes eternal.

Everything changes in this world, but as the Buddha pointed out, there is one thing that is eternal in this world – the spiritual life. Everyone has an internal spirit that is as pure and full of wisdom as the Buddha himself; for example, Tzu Chi volunteer Hong Zhi Cheng helped to relief physical and spiritual pains of many individuals throughout his life, despite of his own health problem and pain. Just before passing away, Hong Zhi Cheng still reminded volunteers to hold on to each possible second to contribute to all living beings and the world while capable, do not wait until it is too late. This spirit conforms to the Sutra of Innumerable Meanings, “like a ferryman who is seriously ill, still has compassion for all.”

Another Tzu Chi volunteer, Deng Chun Zhi, contributes her life to help the disaster victims in China to build their new homes. Even with cancer in her body and Dharma Master’s Cheng Yen’s suggestion to rest, Deng Chun Zhi continued and grasped onto every second of her remaining life to make contribution until the very end. This is another example of living Bodhisattva in the world.

To express the memory and blessing, people often give towel to the family members in the traditional Taiwanese culture when attending funerals. DA.AI also designed eco-friendly handkerchief to fit such tradition, as well as reminding the livings to wipe off tears and sorrows, and pass on blessings instead. This eco-friendly product not only has its spiritual meaning, but also fulfills DA.AI’s “Coexist with the Earth” environmental protective attitude.

Life comes and goes, but the length is not the most important, but rather how meaningful it is. DA.AI, with its Memorial Product Series, wishes to help the deceased ones to carry on their loving spirits in this world for the livings to remember, and turn it into eternity in the circle of life.
