"A small recycled bottle cap can carry a great value!" Recycled PET quality and yield rate depend on thorough cleaning and correct sorting of recycled bottles. DA.AI works with Tzu Chi central district Bodhisattva, and partners with Plastics Industry Development Center (PIDC) to develop new possibility from recycled bottle caps. After months of R&D, and Overcome difficult obstacles, DA.AI finally reaches a milestone to regenerate recycled PET bottle caps into Eco Stationery to extend material life.

Since 2014, DA.AI has cooperated with PIDC to regenerate recycled No.2 (HDPE) and No.5 (PP) plastic bottle caps (blue, green, and white) into Eco Presentation Folder, Eco A5 Notebook, Eco A6 Notebook, Eco Accordion Folder, Eco File Folder, and Eco Binder. In 2016, four schools, including Tzu Chi University, Tzu Chi University of Science and Technology, Hualien and Tainan Tzu Chi High School decided to provide parents and students with these meaningful stationeries (customized A5 Notebook, Eco A6 Notebook and L shape Eco File Folder) to educate students the importance of environmental protection from daily accessories.

These eco-friendly stationeries, coming from each environmental bodhisattva’s dedication, are not only environmental friendly with educational implications, but also the best gift choice. All volunteers sort and separate bottle by bottle humbly and patiently, while DA.AI turns them into Great Love, and hopes for all students to carry this love with them at all time to protect our Earth.
