DA.AI’s mission, except for environmental protection and education, is to bring up eco-friendly and charity awareness, and broadcast Earth loving concept. It’s everyone’s duty to find solution to curb global warming. Last September, DaAi Radio program, “Environmental Idea,” invited DA.AI staff Chen Zan Guo to share how he practices carbon emission reduction in life and at work.

As Chen shared on Environmental Idea that “of course not to waste resource is the basic idea,” which includes not to consume single-use plastic bottle/utensil/bag and carry personal eco items instead. Chen also shared his energy saving practice such as walking, bicycling or taking Metro train instead of driving a car. Exercising not only contributes to ones health, but also reduces CO2 emission. “A little change in habit can become Earth protecting action!” Chen indicated, by the end of October 2016, DA.AI has recycled nearly 525 million of PET bottles (total of 536,263,228 bottles by the end of 2016) since establishment. Recycle 27g of 600ml PET bottle equals to reducing 16.2ml crude oil, 63.4g carbon dioxide emission, and saving 2694.8ml water resource.

PET bottle is non-biodegradable for thousands of years, and will only pollutes the environment and speeds up globe warming if incinerated. During past 8 years, DA.AI has transformed over 525 million recycled water bottles into eco-friendly products. The energy saved is equivalent to 8,691,740L of crude oil, which allows a car to circle 67,897 laps around Taiwan, together with 34,004,183 kg of CO2 emissions and 1,445,147,392L of water. All statistic shows the importance of recycling and regenerating. Energy saving is the basis for DA.AI, while continue to raise public awareness of choosing eco-friendly products and lifestyle is the ultimate goal.
