DA.AI Technology officially became a Certified B Corporation TM (B Corp) in June 2016! We are the No. 10 certified Taiwanese B Corp, which emphasizes that enterprises should pay attention to the ‘benefit’ and ‘interest’ not only of that shareholders, but also its business model in diverse-aspects such as labor, environment, community and management. Through self-assessment, phone evaluation, and document reviewing processes, DA.AI received 126 out of 200 points, a very high score comparing to B Corp’s 80 point benchmark.

Throughout the evaluation process, DA.AI met the highest standards on social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability. DA.AI is a social enterprise with stable growth and sustainable development; therefore, dedicated on using the power of commerce to solve social and environmental problems. By using recycled PET bottles as raw material to manufacture eco-friendly products, the DA.AI brand has activated a new life cycle for these PET bottles, and reduced natural resources consumption ever since establishment.

B Corps certification re- evaluates once every two years, this way, it drives enterprises to build more creative business model with positive values on all aspect. Many well-known international brands, such as fund-raising platform Kickstarter, outdoor brand Patagonia, US largest ice cream brand Ben & Jerry's, follows B-type business model, while the number also increases in Taiwan over recent years. The first certified Taiwanese business is Domi, which brought up the B Corp wave. Other followers like China Credit Information Service, Ltd., Greenvines, and DA.AI, then continue to spread B Corp concept and value to the society. DA.AI has long been taking into account to maintain social equity, since 100% of DA.AI’s net proceeds is donated to Tzu Chi Foundation to help the underprivileged. This unique green social enterprise combines commerce with charity, and redefines success in business.
