DA.AI and Recycling Volunteers Working Together to Pass on Love and Kindness

James Lee, a Tzu Chi volunteer at DA.AI Technology Co., Ltd. (DA.AI), wishes that everyone will work together to follow the concept of "extending an article’s life and creating blessings and wisdom.” He hopes that everyone will become a “well-digger” to inspire more people to help in protecting our Mother Earth. On March 23 to 25, 2012, many Tzu Chi recycling volunteers from all over the world gathered at Jing Si Hall in Hualien for the 2012 Global Tzu Chi Recycling Volunteers Conference. All of the recycling volunteers are united with the same mission to diligently work towards environmental protection in their community.

As a part of the March 24th class schedule, James Lee, CEO of DA.AI, shared his personal experiences of environmental protection with the conference attendees. He is also grateful and impressed by the efforts and passion that the recycling volunteers had put in all these years.

In 2008, with Tzu Chi’ s Four Major Missions in their minds and the promotion of recycling and environmental protection in their hearts, the volunteer entrepreneurs from the Tzu Chi International Humanitarian Aid Association (TIHAA) set up a non-profit company named DA.AI Technology Co., Ltd. (DA.AI) to develop recycled polyester yarn. By upholding their initial selfless thought of cherishing our Mother Earth and applying their professional expertise, these volunteer entrepreneurs followed Master Cheng Yen’s encouragement to establish the company.

DA.AI wishes to convey the message of conserving energy and reducing carbon emission to their consumers through their eco-friendly textile products. They hope to encourage more people to join in the efforts of conserving resources and reducing global warming.
