The Industrial Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) from USA stands with Red Dot and iF Award from Germany and G-Mark Award from Japan as world’s four most famous design awards. This year, DA.AI participated for the very first time with our signature Recycle to Recycle (R2R) advanced series, and received the great honor of 2017 IDEA Finalist.

IDEA is hosted by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), and started in 1979. Although not as old as many other world famous design awards, IDEA is strongly recognized within global design industry. Like other design awards, eco-friendly design is becoming one of the major evaluation criteria, which is why DA.AI participated the 2017 IDEA with its signature R2R technology, applied onto advanced product series, for the first time, and with honor, was announced as a 2017 IDEA Finalist.

As the R2R name suggests, DA.AI is now able to turn first time recycled eco-product back into its PET chip form, and thus,
second time recycled eco-product is made possible. The company further utilizes this extra eco-friendly material in the making of R2R Polarized Sun Goggle, R2R Zipper Backpack, R2R Blanket, R2R Vest, and varies eco-apparels and accessories. The technology not only keep recycled material in a close industrial loop, but also transforms DA.AI from an eco-friendly brand to global green role model.

Apart from daily necessities, DA.AI’s deepest hope for the R2R series is the disaster relief blanket, which travels with Tzu
Chi volunteer to every corner of the world, and comforts disaster survivors and their soul. Thanks to many global awards that showed their recognition to DA.AI’s R2R series, but our most sincere happiness still arises from the compassion behind
“Great Love for all being, Gratitude for Mother Earth” ideology.
