The Tenth Generation Pressure Fabric Wins a “Three High” Title of Love

To better accompany burn patients to go through their rehabilitation process, DA.AI research department developed functional fabric with its “Pressure Garments Rehabilitation Project.” DA.AI further deepens into the projects with the tenth generation pressure fabric, and partner up with Sunshine Rehabilitation Center, GWO JYH knitting Co., Taiwan Textile Research Institute, and Formosa Chemicals & Fiber Corporation to launch this new generation pressure garments to help patients, not only benefits the burn survivors from the 2015 Formosa Water Park starch powder explosion accident, but also other patients with the same need of pressure therapy and garments.

The tenth generation pressure fabric provides better ventilation and improved pressure value throughout different wounded, which wins it a “three high” title of “high elasticity” with accurate pressure value to accelerate scar recovery, “high activity” that maximizes patient’s mobility, and “high comfort” with cool, breathable, comfortable, and quick-drying features. With this know-how and all the effort, DA.AI did not go about designing all sorts of functional garments that all can wear, or following the chic trend of fast fashion. Instead, it takes on difficult projects, but highly involved with social events and try to find a solution with its textile expertise combined with Great Love.

Almost everything that DA.AI does comes from the inspiration of Dharma Master Cheng Yen, as she always directed “when the less fortunate people cannot find help, those who are blessed must go to them.” DA.AI is involved in the pressure fabric development, combining love from Tzu Chi volunteer and all the alliances. The main goal of this project is to determine the effectiveness of how pressure garments help burn patient with hypertrophic scar recovery, and as DA.AI’s GM, James Lee, said "later this year, we will have a latest fabric launch ceremony, which not only demonstrates the implementation results, but also shows warm gratefulness to allow everyone to learn the loving stories behind."
