On the second day of the 63rd UN Department of Public Information NGO conference held in Melbourne, Australia, Tzu Chi volunteers continued to promote environmentalism. Their hard work paid off, as participants stopped using paper cups, and started carrying Tzu Chi's environmentally friendly cups with them.
第63屆聯合國公共資訊部暨非政府組織年會，在澳洲墨爾本的第二天，慈濟志工繼續推廣環保概念給其他代表，他們的努力讓許多參與者不用紙杯，並答應使用慈濟的環保杯。
< Environmental drive >
Over 1,400 representatives from around the globe are gathered here at the United Nation's DPI NGO conference. Dr. Lin Junlong, the CEO of Global Tzu Chi Medical Mission seizes the opportunity to share Tzu Chi's humanitarian spirit.
< No more paper cups >
Seeing other participants writing down a good thought on a paper leaflet and recognizing environmental protection, is what motivates volunteers to continue sharing through the second day of the meeting. We are going now to use the cups that we have been given, as they are much more environmentally friendly.
< Putting words into action >
Straight away, one participant puts all the paper cups back to show her support. And a marketing manager of Vision 2020 Australia says:

"What you guys are doing is fantastic in just raising awareness about the value in actually not using disposable things and thinking before you just grab another paper cup, and consider what that actually does to the environment and the impact that it has."

What also attracted the participants' attention is Dr. Lin's presentation on water resources. Participants showed great interest in Tzu Chi's disaster relief principles and the motivation behind the volunteer-based organization.
全球1400多名代表齊聚，在聯合國公共資訊部暨非政府組織的年會，而慈濟醫療志業執行長林俊龍醫師，也把握機會分享慈濟的人文精神。看到其他參與者在菩提葉上寫下祝福，也認同環保概念，都是志工們在年會第二天持續推廣環保概念的動力。
「我們會使用你們給我的環保杯，這些杯子比較環保。」馬上有位女士以實際行動表現她的支持，而澳洲願景2020的行銷經理則說。
澳洲願景2020的行銷經理 Caroline Scully：「我覺得你們做得事情很棒，提高大家對不能重複使用的東西的警覺性，另外在用紙杯前會多想想，並且顧慮到它對環境的影響。」
而在會場引起大家興趣的還有林俊龍醫師解說水資源的短片，參與者都想了解慈濟的賑災理念，還有在這志工構成的團體背後的動力來源。
