Over 20 years ago, when Master Cheng Yen called on volunteers and members of the public to sort recyclables,
Xu-Jiang Weimei(許江尾妹) from Qishan(旗山) in southern Taiwan, took the words to heart and set up a recycling point next to her house. Now 75 years old, the elderly lady is still volunteering for the environment. Despite having a weak back, she has the same strong will. Moved by her example, her family members have all joined her mission to protect the planet.
二十年前當證嚴上人，向志工與民眾提倡做環保時，來自南台灣旗山的許江尾妹率先響應，並在住家旁設立回收點，如今七十五歲的她，即使脊椎不好仍然堅守環保志業
因為受到許江尾妹的影響，她的家人與她一起投入守護地球的行列。
