Taiwan’s recycling program is fueled by what is called a 4-in-1 program, which is the cooperation between the government’s recycling fund, local waste management, recycling enterprises, and the public. Importers and manufacturers of raw materials are taxed to pay for the cost of collecting and reclaiming recyclables, with a total 33 items currently being recycled and made into new products.

培養省水好習慣 共體時艱度難關

全台水情拉警報是67年來最嚴重的旱象，從四月一號開始，新北市板新、林口以及桃園地區，將啟動第三階段限水。全民抗旱更要愛惜水資源，證嚴上人呼籲，人人要提高警覺自我約束，減少汙染才能保護大地。
一月是非洲莫三比克的雨季，豪雨造成嚴重水患，淹沒房屋還影響飲用水，貧困的居民苦不堪言。慈濟人長期耕耘，帶動起本土志工，在災區送物資與關懷。
證嚴上人開示：「心中開啟了這種心靈財富，他們共同力量、合和互協，要把種子廣播在普天下，不管是大樹的種或者是小草的種，我們都要廣播，撒播愛的種子。」
水大不調，而在台灣則面臨嚴重缺水危機。首當其衝的新北市及桃園地區，從四月一號開始，將實施限水措施。面對旱象，證嚴上人呼籲大家，提高警覺，減少污染，保護大地。
證嚴上人開示：「自我約束，把自己的欲念降低，疼惜物命，我們用物要節儉，不要浪費太多，很自然就不會再消耗太多的資源。」
抗旱需要從每個人的生活開始做起，全民共體時艱，養成節約用水的習慣，身體力行，提早因應。

台灣正面臨限水危機，馬來西亞「新山慈濟幼兒園」的幼教老師李偎寧，有一套省水辦法，靈感來自於家中的小寶寶，帶您來看。(3/11)
在新山慈濟幼兒園，李偎寧是教育專家，下班之後，她則變身為省水達人。
新山慈濟幼兒園老師 李偎寧：「我們就在裡面加一個寶特瓶囉，因為之前想要多放兩三支，但是因為它已經是省水的馬桶，放多兩三支它的水出來的量，就太少了不能把馬桶沖乾淨，所以最後我們還是選擇放一支。」
講到省水，李偎寧涓滴都要計較，連自己的小寶寶，所有用水的項目，也都經過精打細算。
新山慈濟幼兒園老師 李偎寧：「(消毒燙)過了的水，因為我個人覺得，裡面的水其實是乾淨的，我們大人可以喝的，所以我這樣子(燙)過，我就會把裡面的水，倒進自己的水瓶裡面，然後當白開水自己喝下去。」
新山慈濟幼兒園老師 李偎寧：「覺得每個小細節多用心一點，應該是有辦法說，可以節省更多的水。」
李偎寧拿出水費帳單，平常勤儉的用水習慣全反應在數字上，言教不如身教，身為幼兒園老師，教導孩子省水，也將更有說服力。
