Students and faculty from the Department of Design at Tamagawa University in Japan visited DAAI’s Neihu campus, engaging in an exchange that offered deeper insight into how technology and creativity can transform recycled resources from “regeneration” to “redesign,” bringing the principles of the circular economy into practice.

Through the visit, the students were encouraged to rethink the role of design. Design is not simply about creating a product; it can also become a force for transforming the environment and protecting our planet.

Following the exchange, the students shared that seeing firsthand how DAAI applies design and research to transform recycled materials into everyday products with practical, aesthetic, and environmental value gave them a profound understanding that sustainability is not a distant concept.
