With heartfelt gratitude to the newly inspired Bodhisattvas and community volunteers from Linkou and Taishan for their thoughtful invitation, DAAI volunteer Mr. Li Ding-Ming shared reflections on “Learning and Awakening on the Tzu Chi Path.” He emphasized that learning is far more than the accumulation of knowledge—it is a journey of inner awakening. Every moment of learning and self-reflection becomes a source of strength that inspires continuous growth, courageous action, and the transformation of a finite life into limitless positive impact.

During the session, DAAI also shared its collaboration with Tzu Chi’s Medical Mission, where medical materials that have fulfilled their original purpose are given new life through innovative recycling and circular design. This initiative not only supports hospitals in advancing net-zero carbon goals and the circular economy, but also aspires to position Tzu Chi’s healthcare system as a leading model of sustainable healthcare in Taiwan. As Tzu Chi’s humanitarian mission continues to reach communities around the world, DAAI hopes the global community will witness the power of compassion, collaboration, and circular sustainability.

Beyond supporting environmental sustainability, these initiatives enable healthcare professionals to recognize that their contributions extend far beyond clinical care. By safeguarding lives while protecting the environment, their work becomes more than a profession—it becomes a meaningful mission that benefits society and all living beings.

Inspired by Dharma Master Cheng Yen’s teaching, “Seize the present moment and sustain it forever,” DAAI hopes everyone can transform the awareness of impermanence into motivation for diligent practice. By cherishing every encounter and embracing each day as an opportunity for self-cultivation, together we can create a more compassionate, sustainable future for Tzu Chi, for society, and for our shared planet.
