Lions Clubs International Promises to Build an “Eco Pure Land”

“What will you do if you are passionate about public service, and willing to improve your own community?” Lions Clubs International District 300A1 (LCI District 300A1) Chief Executive of environmental protection, Li Mu-Chuan, asked the presidium and more than 100 Lions members who visited the Tzu Chi Neihu Environmental Center for environmental protection on December 5th, 2017. They not only did hands-on recycling work during their visit, but also invited DA.AI to share its eco experience.

The Public Relations Officer, Hsu Chih-Lin, arranged this visit. She said, "It’s a very meaningful to arrange the Lions to visit Tzu Chi. Since LCI District 300A1 has large number of people, we’ve started this workshop for three consecutive months, including six group visits. A total of more than 700 Lions attended these recycling courses." They all felt that environmental protection is important; moreover, environmental education is the ultimate purpose that links to heart purification.

DA.AI’s staff, Yu Shan-Ming, further illustrated, “being an environmentalist may be a role model; however, a group of people doing environmental protection becomes a strength.” The fifth group Chairman, Lai Jun-Hong, said, "in the video, I am very touched by entrepreneur Huang Rong-Nian, an Indonesian industrialist who does good deeds of serving his community. I feel very cordial." LCI District 300A1 members visited Tzu Chi Neihu Environmental Center to witness the disaster relief blankets making process and got first-hand experience of recycling PET bottles and other materials. They were all touched and promised to influent people in their own community to build up an “Eco Pure Land.”
