DA.AI’s Tradeshow spreads Environmental Protection Ideology with Love

As winter fades and spring approaches, we once again welcome the China International Clothing & Accessories Fair (CHIC). The trade fair started in Beijing in 1993 and moved to Shanghai in 2015, and has become one of the largest and most influential apparel world exhibitions. Although the Chinese fashion industry market growth brings huge business opportunities, the impact of fast fashion is devastating both local and global environment. This year, DA.AI joined the 25th CHIC with the theme of “Eco Fashion from Heart” in the Shanghai International Hall to demonstrate its latest innovative products and its environmental ideology.

In the past, a piece of clothing can be worn for many years; however, fast fashion allures people to replace the old ones seasonally. Statistic shows that each Hong Kong people has average 94 pieces of clothing, and 16% of which have never been worn, or even, never removed of their price tags. With 110,000 tons of waste fabrics per year in Hong Kong, this equals to 1400 T-shirts thrown away per minute. DA.AI foresees the "fast fashion" impact to environment, and thus, promotes our “Eco Fashion” concept every year in CHIC show.

DA.AI’s Compassion Technology Series is one of the highlights; Eco LED Cap carries out the high-tech design and humanitarian philosophy that attracted foreign models from other booth, as well as other designers and visitors. Moreover, touched by the compassionate reason behind the fabric of Pressure Garment Series that was invented to help burnt patients from the 2015 Formosa Water Park powder explosion accident, many visitors purchased the Pressure Socks from DA.AI’s booth.

As usual, thanks to many local Tzu Chi volunteers who supported helped out in the DA.AI booth. Volunteer Zheng Yalin shared Tzu Chi spirit to students from Suzhou and explained the concept of environmental protection to them. Six students were moved by the love and green value that underlies eco-friendly products and Tzu Chi’s humanistic philosophy, and signed volunteer form to attend future local activity. The three day fair concluded with happiness and full of touching stories. DA.AI wishes to plant seed of goodness and environmental protection concept into everyone’s heart with this tradeshow, so that more people recognize DA.AI’s core values and Tzu Chi’s Great Love by dedicating themselves in “Loving Earth.”
