Yixin, a first-generation graduate of Tzu Chi Senior High School who is now serving as a first-grade homeroom teacher, created a special corner in her classroom during the school’s Open House. Under the theme “A Kind Thought Brings Warmth to Nepal,” she invited parents and children to join together in extending care and support to those affected by the disaster in Nepal.

We are grateful to Teacher Yixin for bringing character education into everyday classroom life, guiding children from an early age to recognize their blessings, cherish what they have, and pass goodness forward. Through the participation and companionship of their families, these young students are also learning that even a small act of kindness can become a seed of love—one that continues to grow and reach others in need.
