A delegation led by a Cardinal from the Vatican visited Taiwan in conjunction with Tzu Chi’s 60th anniversary celebrations, taking part in an in-depth tour of Tzu Chi’s missions and humanitarian initiatives. Today, the delegation visited Taipei Tzu Chi Hospital, where they were warmly welcomed and accompanied by the hospital superintendent and team, with a special introduction to DAAI’s achievements in green sustainability.

From safeguarding life through healthcare to protecting the planet through environmental action, Taipei Tzu Chi Hospital demonstrated not only medical excellence, but also the embodiment of Tzu Chi’s humanistic values of Gratitude, Respect, and Love through concrete sustainability practices. Through initiatives such as medical material recycling, circular economy applications, and environmental education, international guests witnessed Taiwan’s profound soft power in the fields of compassionate technology and sustainable innovation.

As faith, humanity, and sustainability converged during the visit, the experience became far more than a formal exchange — it evolved into a meaningful dialogue of kindness and compassion that transcended borders. Through this encounter, visitors experienced the warmth, sincerity, and steadfast goodwill that Taiwan continues to share with the world.
