Cross-Border Fellowship: Carrying the Dharma Across the Sea

Nearly 250 overseas commissioners from eight countries traveled north ahead of schedule due to the approaching typhoon. DA.AI Technology’s General Manager, Lee Ding-Ming, was invited to share his more than 30-year journey of “learning and awakening” in Tzu Chi, gently recounting DA.AI’s mission and vision.
He spoke of the profound affirmation given by a Harvard University professor regarding Tzu Chi’s humanitarian work, as well as the unwavering dedication of recycling volunteers who protect the Earth with love—doing what they can until their very last breath. Master Cheng Yen has also encouraged the DA.AI team to allow Dharma and technology to shine together, demonstrating the deeper meaning of “lifespan, material life, and wisdom-life” in disaster relief—so that a simple blanket is not only a source of warmth, but also an extension of compassion.
Brother Lee concluded with Master Cheng Yen’s gentle reminder: each person is like a firefly, illuminating the darkness with a tiny yet powerful light. By reflecting on the value of our lives and cherishing every opportunity to give, we can collectively create a better tomorrow and ensure the continuity of Tzu Chi’s mission into the future.
