The Asoke Buddhist community is extremely self-sufficient and have amazing workshops and programs on how to engage sustainable economy and Buddhist theory into practice. After Tzu Chi assisted Thailand, two Dharma Masters led their congregation to Taiwan to discover Tzu Chi's spirit and aimed to learn more about the organization’s four missions and eight footprints, especially environmental protection mission, which can be implemented in Tai community in future.

"They were cutting off the white section to reduce the amount of paper undergoing the bleaching process during recycling. In addition, it will enhance the value of recycling white paper at the same time,” Tzu Chi’s environmental Bodhisattvas explained. Ms. Ye was so moved, “it’s really remarkable that Tzu Chi environmental protection is such detail-oriented and its recycling resources are well classified."
