DA.AI’s Study Session Inspires Staff’s Heart

Hualien Jing Si Abode is where Dharma Master Cheng Yen and the Jing Si masters live, and the spiritual home of all Tzu Chi volunteers Jing Si masters hold the spirit of “no work, no meal,” doing ordinary daily works to support their living, as well as all visitors, with an extraordinary spirit to cultivate wisdom. The book, The Spiritual Home of Tzu Chi - Jing Si Abode, describes the Jing Si building and the masters’ daily activities. Through reading this book, JUNG HSIANG HSU, an experienced study session leader, takes DA.AI staff into Tzu Chi’s world.Master Te-Ju, one of the Jing Si masters, treats each guest visiting the spiritual Home of Tzu Chi with high respect, as if he/she is the future Buddha. She greets the guests with warmth, sincerity, compassion, and wisdom. This is the way how all masters treat Jing Si Abode visitors, and the spirit deeply touches each DA.AI staff’s heart. One of the staff said “as a member of DA.AI, we should receive each of our guest like this. Then, we can pass our idea of environmental protection directly.”
Tzu Chi volunteer, MING-SHAN KAO, he is one of the co-founders of DA.AI Technology. He knew that Dharma Master Cheng Yen hopes for Jing Si Abode could to be the home of all Tzu Chi volunteers, and expects to make use of the space to transmit dharma. Therefore, when helping with the main hall design, he added in the element of bamboo, which pronounces the same as ‘morality’ in Taiwanese. The bamboo joint represents following the Buddhism commandment, while leafs speaks tender and compassion. The bamboo design shoots straight and high up, reminding all Tzu Chi volunteers to always walk on the Buddha path regardless of difficulty that may come along the way.DA.AI Technology’s general manager, James Lee, also attended the study session and was impressed by Dharma Master Cheng Yen’s concepts. “The design philosophy of DA.AI’s products is the same as Dharma Master Cheng Yen’s concept of Jing Si Abode. We hope to remake and reuse waste resource and turn into eco-friendly products, and build up this everlasting selfless platform of Great Love. By doing so, we enrich our life, and set a great example to the society.’’ DA.AI wishes to revive material life and change people’s consumption habit through the help of technology; moreover, implement Master Cheng Yen’s concept of “purification from the origin, and refine environmental protection.”
