An environmental class with Tzu Chi

Tzu Chi's recycling mission has been ongoing for 20 years, winning praises both domestically and internationally. Later, we have visitors from American Samoa who are visiting Tzu Chi to learn more about recycling and hoping to build a permanent partnership. First, we travel to Thailand, where -- to help Tzu Chi raise environmental awareness among the general public -- teachers from both the Wat Lamut and Wat Sawang Ar-rom schools turned to a Tzu Chi recycling station in rural Bangkok, to help teach the importance of environmental awareness.

< Little ones get down to sorting >
Undeterred by the scorching sun, these little ones have assumed the role of the planet's wardens, and are diligently watering the garden, bucket by bucket.

After the vigorous sun-washed activity, students move on to some recycling. From sorting PET bottles, to bundling newspapers, everyone did their part to alleviate Mother Earth's suffering.

Student, Nuttapon:"Our planet is sick because of us humans. If we don't think of some way to solve this, it may cause floods or storms. So, everyone must not litter, or burn garbage. And: we can ride bicycles to help the environment. Hopefully, we can pass on a cleaner planet to our children. "

< Co-existing in harmony with the earth >
With their eyes fixed on disaster news everywhere, children express the urgency of environmental protection, and are deeply encouraged by their teachers.

Vice principal, Chote:"We are very glad that Tzu Chi hosted this event on conservation work today. In the future, it will be much easier for the school to promote this. With each person doing one good deed, the environment will definitely be improved, and we will be able to influence others as well."

Through the fun and educational activities, everyone bonded closely with one another -- and the planet, too.

Student, Nuttapon:「

Vice principal, Chote:「
