Fabrics from recycled PET catching eyes at the 2011 Taipei International Sports Goods Exhibition

This is the first time for DA.AI TECHNOLOGY CO. to join the Taipei   International Sports Goods Exhibition (TaiSPO2011). They transformed recycled PET bottles into sports fabrics and demonstrated a unique concept of combining environmental protection and fashion. This new product attracted lots of interested local and international buyers.

The Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fabrics, derived from the recycled PET bottles, are permeable to perspiration and thus often applied to sports clothing. Some of the international buyers were quite curious about production of such pure fabrics from recycled PET in Taiwan. They were also highly interested in the entire process from recycling through manufacturing. They asked DA.AI TECH lots of questions regarding the recycling process and showed intention of further cooperation in the future.

Based on the statistics posted by the International Rayon and Synthetic Fibers Committee（CIRFS）, the carbon dioxide emitted from the process of producing polyester fibers from the recycled PET bottles was only 25% of the regular process. With this process, not only could we curtail the consumption of energy but also produce new textile materials. Reutilization of the recycled PET bottles is certainly one of the best demonstrations of the human efforts in appreciating and protecting the earth.

DA.AI TECHNOLOGY CO. is one of the few enterprises fully dedicated to green industry and charity activities. They have been promoting environment-friendly fabrics in recent years and have so far reduced 2.8 million kilograms of carbon emission, saved nearly 60,000 liters of petroleum consumption, 10 million liters of water and 130 million of PET bottles.
