The series has an elegant and simple traditional Chinese design, and amazingly, are made completely out of recycled PET bottles. As Dharma Master Cheng Yen once said that apparel should show a person’s dignity and the beauty of humanism culture, “the Heritage Series wishes to carry out this exact feeling and become a trend,” said the DA.AI Design Director, Cathy Hong. Different from some of the current fashion trends, the Heritage Series are designed not to over-expose the body, which shows respect to others. “Through our apparel, DA.AI wishes to drive a humanistic culture in the fashion industry,” said Cathy Hong.

Jasmine Li, the Business Department Staff, explained DA.AI’s core values and business model with everyone, while the General Manager, James Lee, shared the Compassion Series – another of DA.AI’s award winning product series, and how it was designed based on the needs of compassionate Tzu Chi volunteers going into disaster area to help. Together with everyone’s help from DA.AI staff to Tzu Chi volunteers, the event was made possible. In the end, DA.AI wants to communicate the ideas that “recycling is good, but not consume is even better” and “using replacements over new consumption,” and wishes for everyone to implement environmental protection in daily life.
