DA.AI, Best for the World Community in 2017, According to B Lab

B Labs is an US non-profit authority that provides credible "social enterprise certification: B Corporations” to certify companies using the power of business to solve social problems. On September 12, 2017, B Labs selected number of companies that passed the "B Corporations" certification based on four criteria evaluations: employee care, environmentally friendly, community care and customer influence. The top 10% of the selections are further awarded the "Best for the World" award under different category, and DA.AI was named the 2017 Best for the World Community.

DA.AI became the 10th certified Taiwanese B Corps in June 2016, with a score of 126/200 points in community category, a relatively high score than the 80-point benchmark. Evaluation was based on the positive impacts that B corporations brought influence on their workers, communities, environments and society, and not only emphasized the importance of corporate profits, but also the interests of shareholders in multiple aspects.

A total of 846 business models in 52 diverse industries from 48 countries are recognized on the full list of 2017 Best for the World honorees. There are total of 20 B Corps certified social enterprises in Taiwan, the largest in number in Asia. Five Taiwanese companies won the 2017 Best for the World, DA.AI was among the honorable 2017 list of 846 leading corporate in community category as B Corps website mentioned, “846 companies leading the way to a shared and durable prosperity for All.”
