Thank-You Letter from Austria to DA.AI, the World’s Eco Role Model, for Its Spirit

Ever since 2002, Austria has sponsored the "Global Energy Prize" competition, also known as the Oscar award in environmental protection field. With innovative design and humanitarianism, Tzu Chi’s disaster relief eco blanket made from recycled PET bottles received the 2016 Global Energy Award recognition. Adding on to this glory, DA.AI’s Recycle to Recycle (R2R) Project that deals with leftover fabric throughout production won the 2017 Global Energy Award for the second consecutive year.

“A total of over 178 countries participated in the Global Energy Prize,” Mr. Christian Fuchssteiner, Austrian business representative in Taiwan stated, who also sent a special thank-you letter on behalf of Mr. Franz Wessig, Director of the Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy in Austria, to DA.AI few months after receiving the award, to praises the company’s effort in environmental protection. "Having returned to Austria, I would like to thank you for the friendly reception you extended to me on the occasion of my visit to DA.AI. I very much enjoyed your inspiring presentation and the possibility to get a first-hand impression of the high standard of technology and know-how your company and Taiwan has to offer,” Wessig wrote.

DA.AI’s innovative R2R technique consumes zero crude oil resource from Earth, because everything comes from second round recyclables from recycled PET bottles. Wessig furthered illustrated, “As discussed during my visit, I do see a lot of potential to further enhance bilateral cooperation between our two countries and especially companies in the field of recycling.” DA.AI aims not only to consume less energy, but also carries love, caring, and humanitarian spirit to people in need worldwide.
