Next to China; Jiangsu’s Kunshan is near Shanghai and was established as an economic and technology development zone. This inspired foreign enterprises to set up factories here which led to more waste and pollution. Tzu Chi volunteers have worked with local residents to promote environmental awareness encouraging them to become recycling volunteers.
接著轉到中國江蘇昆山，因為鄰近上海，境內設立的國家級經濟技術開發區，吸引大量的外資企業投資建廠，產生的垃圾也越來越多，慈濟志工在當地推廣環保，也帶動許多長者成為環保志願者。
