In Beijing, China, besides educating the public on the importance of recycling, Tzu Chi volunteers have also been collecting recyclables from local shops and using the money earned by selling recyclables to fund its scholarship program. In doing so, the volunteers are protecting the environment as well as helping students in need.
在大陸北京，除了教育社會大眾做環保的重要性，志工也向社區商家收集回收物資，並且將賣回收物的錢做為獎助學金，透過這些行動，志工們保護環境，也同時幫助有需要的學生。
