In Taiwan, two years ago, Tzu Chi started promoting the drinking of tea instead of alcohol to encourage residents in Hualien`s Wanrong Township to live a healthier lifestyle. To reciprocate Tzu Chi`s care, local residents began to take on recycling in their villages. Recently, Tzu Chi volunteers organized a tea gathering to thank these recycling volunteers for their hard work and seized the chance to teach them more recycling tips.
在臺灣，兩年前 慈濟基金會開始在萬榮鄉推廣「以茶代酒」，鼓勵民眾健康生活，為了回饋慈濟的關懷，當地民眾開始在村子裡做環保，最近，慈濟志工舉辦一場感恩茶會，感謝環保志工的付出，並把握機會教導他們做環保的訣竅。
