In the United States, on July 1, a massive apartment fire broke out in Mount Vernon, Washington, leaving 5 injured and 200 residents displaced. Upon learning of the news, on July 14, Seattle Tzu Chi volunteers traveled to the college stadium where the fire survivors are sheltered to distribute blankets and consolation cash.
