In Free State province, South Africa, a Tzu Chi recycling station has been established in the small farming town of Heilbron. The station was provided by a local Sotho volunteer, Chile, who was once an alcoholic and often got involved in fights. His employer, Wu Dongbao, who is also a Tzu Chi volunteer, however, did not dismiss him for his behavior but instead cared for Chile even more. Touched by Wu’s love, Chile changed his ways and even signed up for Tzu Chi’s volunteer training program.
