Life for Yan Shuyan and her blind mother was not always easy. Having to take care of her mother’s daily needs, Yan often felt stressed and frustrated. It wasn’t until Yan joined Tzu Chi and came across a Buddhist scripture which spoke of filial piety that she came to understand the unconditional love of parents. Now, Yan and her mother are seen at Tzu Ch’s recycling station each day and the bond between the two has grown stronger than ever.
顏淑燕與眼盲母親的生活，並不是一直那麼和樂，因為要照顧母親的生活，使得顏淑燕充斥著憤怒的情緒，後來顏淑燕走入慈濟，從佛經中了解父母恩重，現在顏淑燕每天都會陪媽媽在環保站裡做環保，母女的感情也越來越好。
