Corporate Social Responsibility, the key to creating love and warmth

DA.AI Technology is now five years old. On December 10, DA.AI celebrates its fifth anniversary at Guandu Tzu Chi Office. The anniversary kicked off with a review of the international relief missions carried out by the Tzu Chi Foundation in every corner of the world where help is needed. Though the weather is bad, our hearts are warm seeing that love, compassion and care are spread all over the world. Tzu Chi volunteers provided hot food for locals, and cooperated with the Food Bank. Kids in Tainan’s Tzu Chi Kindergarten planted and sold vegetables, and donated all profit to charity. Being part of this circle of love, on this special day, DA.AI Technology presented “2013 Sustainability Report” to a representative of Master Cheng Yen to reiterate its core mission of “compassionate technology” through implementing Corporate Social Responsibility, with an aim of bringing positive impacts on the society, environment and economics.
The “Cash for work” program carried out by Tzu Chi volunteers has indeed been a huge motivator in encouraging everyone to contribute in rebuilding the local infrastructure and communities. DA.AI Technology has organized a “Touching hearts filled with love” program as a mean of raising consciousness and encouraging more people everywhere to assist in the Philippines’ rebuilding efforts. DA.AI Technology donate all retail sales revenue, donations from DA.AI’s staff and supporters, as well as the “SMEs’ Research Innovation Prize” of NT $300,000 received from the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
A representative of the Tzu Chi Foundation, Brother Hsieh Jingui gave a thank-you speech to the audience and all DA.AI Technology’s supporters, “Thinking back of five years ago when DA.AI Technology was just established, there were countless doubts on the feasibility of running such a none-profit business. Now, DA.AI Technology not only shows its excellence in creating such a unique social-welfare platform, but also, most importantly, proudly serving as a role model for public, schools and corporate, in promoting and implementing environmental protection and social responsibility.”
Taiwan’s Industrial Development Bureau, Minister Shen Rongjin shared that, “In the past, Taiwan’s textile industry is one of the major contributors of foreign exchange, but it has now deteriorated due to the shifting of the global industry trends and competitiveness from cheap-labor intensive countries. Therefore, corporate and government should cooperate more intensively towards manufacturing green products, advancing green technologies, and thereby green living. Save our Mother Nature has been the one and only target we should focus on nowadays. We are really grateful that in Taiwan, there are so many compassionate entrepreneurs and volunteers who are willing to shoulder this responsibility. On this special occasion, we thank DA.AI Technology and all its supporters, and hope this spirit will be lasting eternally, creating an everlasting purifying stream. Hand in hand, we shall create a sustainable world.”

一月七日莫斯科大學Valentine G.. Nenajdenko教授在國立雲林科技大學王美心教授和中華生醫科技應用協會法務長陳玫瑜女士隨同之下，一行四人到大愛感恩科技參訪。同仁 張曉暉師姊全程以英文介紹，向海外人士Valentine G.. Nenajdenko 教授一行人推廣環保理念，經由環保菩薩 曲素珉師姑和 許金蓮阿嬤的故事影片，讓現場貴賓看到各位環保菩薩們投入環保的心路歷程，其後的低碳生活概念館和研發實驗室巡禮，現場貴賓嘖嘖稱奇，讚嘆大愛感恩科技為台灣的典範環保公益產業。
除了分享大愛感恩科技精神及人文，現場貴賓看到環保菩薩故事皆深受感動，影片中的素珉師姊雖為盲友，但不因身體有殘缺，反而在資源回收中重拾生活重心和生命良能；人稱環保站「班長」的金蓮阿嬤，把環保當復健，十多年來天天到內湖環保站報到，從不間斷，在他們身上，看到為環保所投注的熱情和堅持以赴的態度。會後，同仁 李明瑩師姊和陳意容師姊亦帶領參觀低碳生活概念館和研發實驗室，介紹大愛感恩科技環保品牌多元生活織品及研發創新技術。
第一次來台的Valentine G.. Nenajdenko教授表示這次參訪很豐富，對於大愛感恩科技很有興趣，也樂見大愛之後研發拓展至其他物資 (如其他塑膠類或是紙類)，因為人類最終要將現有的資源回收再利用，大愛所做的之後會變成一個綠色潮流，其中大愛感恩科技的「完全回饋」讓他最為印象深刻，他認為這理念非常好應該要推廣出去讓世界知道，並預祝大愛成功，王美心教授感謝這次大愛感恩科技精心安排的參訪，讓海外人士能夠知道台灣環保公益企業，讓環保人文及企業社會責任的落實能夠無遠弗屆。
