As part of the Ministry of Education’s University Social Responsibility (USR) program, DAAI once again partnered with Shih Chien University, bringing together compassionate technology and humanistic care. Through this collaboration, the spirit of USR is extended into CSR practice, enabling the impact of academia to be amplified through corporate engagement.

Centered on the themes of “technology for care, design for companionship, and shared humanistic values,” the forum focused on the real needs of patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and individuals with similar conditions. Through cross-disciplinary collaboration, the initiative connects education, design, technology, and social care, aiming to ensure that every innovation goes beyond technical advancement to become a meaningful source of comfort and companionship for life.

DAAI has always believed that truly valuable environmental technology is not limited to innovation itself, but lies in its ability to enter daily life, respond to real human needs, and benefit all living beings. Through strengthened industry–academia collaboration, DAAI hopes to sustain a continuous cycle of kindness and compassion — bringing greater reassurance, hope, and warmth to society.
