To advance the vision of low-carbon hospitals and sustainable healthcare, Taichung Tzu Chi Hospital held an observation meeting on September 22 at the 6th floor International Conference Hall of the Daai Building. Representatives from the Department of Health, medical institutions, and sustainability partners gathered to exchange insights on implementing energy conservation, carbon reduction, and environmental sustainability in medical settings.
The Engineering Department shared the hospital’s concrete efforts in energy-saving initiatives, highlighting years of achievements in facility design and energy management. The General Affairs Department introduced an innovative “Low-Carbon Convenient Gate” project, which focuses on reusing biomedical waste. Partner companies Jisiang Resource Technology and Ching-Hsin Environmental Engineering also joined to present real-life cases of medical waste recycling and regeneration.
The program featured a special session by DA.AI Technology, with General Manager Li Ding-Ming presenting “The Living Spring of Sustainability.” He shared how recycled materials are transformed into innovative products, demonstrating the synergy of environmental protection and industry.
From hospital-level energy-saving strategies to corporate-driven environmental technologies, the meeting sparked numerous potential areas for collaboration. More than just a sharing session, it served as a cross-sector platform uniting healthcare, government, and businesses to take concrete action in protecting the Earth and building a healthier, sustainable future together.
