In Singapore, teachers at United World College of South East Asia have been bringing students to Tzu Chi’s charity bazaar for the past two years to learn about ways to reduce the amount of garbage produced at any event. On the school family day this year, a total of nine teachers and students also set up reycling barrels at the school and encouraged the food vendors to use banana leaves instead of disposible utensils.
