古晉水災關懷

Next to East Malaysia, on February 19th heavy rains led to dangerous flooding in Kuching of Sarawak Province, resulting in evacuation of nearly 8,000 people. 20 schools were also forced to suspend classes. Flooding in some areas was extreme with water levels reaching chest height, and roadways completely submerged. While some local Tzu Chi volunteers went to survey flood damage by boat, others went to visit the local shelters to deliver some food and blankets.

接下來到東馬來西亞，這個2月19日開始的砂拉越州古晉，一直都是多雨天氣，結果引發水患，將近八千人撤離，20所學校被迫停課，災情嚴重的地區，淹水高度超過成人胸口，道路也因淹沒而中斷，一些古晉慈濟志工，搭著小船進入災區勘察災情，另有一些人到避難所，提供熱食與毛毯。
