The Taiwanese government has been promoting green roof systems to fight global warming and reduce the need for A/C during the summer months to beat the heat. However, traditionally, to create a green roof means waterproofing the roof and moving tons of earth to the top to create a garden. Maintaining the garden can also be troublesome for some. However, people have begun to experiment with aquaponics as the next generation of green roofs and found that it offers vast improvements over previous designs. We now learn about this new system.

台灣政府推動民眾建置綠屋頂，可以降低溫室效應，也讓在暑期的時候，冷氣不需要開那麼大，但傳統的綠屋頂，需要做好防水措施，也必須把大量土方，移到屋頂建置花園，而且照顧上可能會比較麻煩，而最近有人開始研究，利用魚菜共生的水耕系統，來做綠屋頂，效果比舊的設計好很多，一起來了解。
