Invisible to the human eyes, fine particles in the air known as PM 2.5 are a lot deadlier than we may believe. They enter our body through our respiratory system and affect our heart and brain functions. Though the Taiwan government has been promoting a reduction in greenhouse gases, the country’s air quality has actually taken a dive in recent years. In fact, it has the second worst air quality among the 36 nations in the OECD.
