大地之聲蓮花(1)

In our next report, we introduce a plant that has long been known for its beauty and purity-the lotus. Early summer is the season to admire the lotus and numerous visitors flock to Tainan`s Baihe to experience the regions`s annul lotus festival. Currently, the lotus plantations in Baihe account for 2/3rds of total lotus production in Taiwan. However, the labor needed to work the lotus farms has been harder and harder to find as more youngsters have shied away from working in this area.

今天大地之聲報導要介紹，純潔美麗的蓮花，初夏是賞蓮的季節，台南白河蓮花季是遊客的最愛，白河蓮子產量佔全台三分之二，不過蓮花栽種的過程，相當繁瑣與辛勞，造成越來越少年輕人，願意進入這個產業，傳承下去。
