In the past, Taiwan’s main source of household heating came from charcoal made from the Formosa Acacia , but it has been slowly phased out with the onset of natural gas and petroleum usage. Nowadays, that charcoal has found a new audience among the artistic community.
過去，臺灣家庭主要是用相思樹製成的相思炭為燃燒材料，但是隨著瓦斯與石油的取得普及，相思炭成了乏人問津的東西，不過，現在相思炭卻在藝術界找到了 一條新生命。
