In China, the Shekou Industrial Zone in Nanshan of Shenzhen is one of the first industrial zone developed since the Chinese economic reform. In September of last year, local Tzu Chi volunteers have turned a dilapidated building into the Tzu Chi Shekou Environmental Education Center, inspiring residents to protect the environment.
