Four Country Ambassadors Visited Tzu Chi’s Environmental Mission

Arranged by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan, Ambassadors from Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala and Paraguay from Vatican, visited Tzu Chi Neihu Environmental Center and DA.AI Technology on February 6th. The Ambassadors witnessed a series of recycling procedures, such as collecting bottle, sorting, and cleaning, and experienced the mini demonstration of eco fabric production and learn how to turn recycled bottles into meaningful eco necessaries and disaster relief blankets.

Ambassador of El Salvador, H.E. Manuel Roberto López Barrera, said "Knowing the whole process of environmental protection, I will wear the eco scarf and hat to educate my compatriots about the importance of environmental protection." Ambassador of Guatemala, H.E. Alfredo Vásquez Rivera, further shared, "the Pope has always told us that environmental protection should be the priority among all issues for the world. We should learn from you, especially the recycling and classification of plastic products." Paraguayan Ambassador, H.E. Esteban Armando Kriskovich de Vargas, also said, "those eco plastic-made bookcases, blankets…not only can help a lot of affected areas but also deal waste form oceans and Earth to rescue ecology!"

Environmental consciousness of climate change has been rooted in Taiwan for decades. We are very happy to see that the
Ambassadors were moved during their stay and promised to promote eco ideas and Tzu Chi’s environmental protection practice to protect Earth with Great Love.
