Giving Life to Education after a Lifetime of Searching

On Monday, December 18th, 2017, DA.AI invited an extremely experienced lecturer, Lee Ling Hui, the Principal of Hualien Tzu
Chi Senior High School, to share how she gave her life to education after a lifetime of searching. She integrated her educational background and shared with DA.AI on how to adopt method and spirit of teaching into non-profit company. Headmistress Lee emphasized on interacting and caring for students, and how it changed their lives. Creating a loving environment to cultivate students’ virtue helps a person to find the right direction and goal in life; same with staffs in a company. The Monday morning blue was quickly swiped away by a dosage of her wisdom.

Headmistress Lee is passionate and aspired to spread her knowledge and experience in the field of education to as many people as possible after being inspired by Dharma Master Cheng Yen’s teaching many years ago. She is also a well-behaved, creative, and beloved teacher herself for over 37 years. Time may change along with educational methods may be adjusted accordingly; however, the fundamental humanistic education shall be firm and steady.

Tzu Chi Senior High School is located on eastern Taiwan. The school emphasizes on humanity, given students diverse courses, such as sign language, tea ceremony, flower arrangement, calligraphy and community volunteering. Humanitarianism sets an example and allows students to grow strong virtue within. Many students from Korea, Malaysia, and America are here to taste the community service and cross-culture experiences that are important for their vision, since “one's attitude determines one's altitude.” In conclusion, Headmistress Lee encouraged DA.AI to magnify eco practice and vision to enhance its value and the management level of a company.
