Mother Nature is beautiful but also deserves respect. When people become too arrogant and believe they can conquer nature, that is when disasters typically strike. As pointed out by the volunteer mountain rescue team in Liugui, Kaohsiung, people need to be humble, respectful and prepared when they go hiking no matter how fit or experienced they are.

大自然很美麗，但也需要敬畏，不管是進行哪種休閒活動，或許在海邊游泳，或許去山上爬山，都應該做好準備，當人們太粗心大意，認為能征服大自然時，意外也就往往發生，就如容高雄六龜的救難協會所指出，人們外出爬山前，應該對大自然保持著尊重敬畏的態度，並做出適當的準備，不管自己體能有多好，經歷有多厲害，都要做好。
