As stated earlier, Taiwan’s sewage coverage rate is just over 26 percent, and most domestic wastewater is discharged right into the country’s rivers untreated; however, what happens to the other 26 percent that does go into a sewer? Well, it will end up in one of the 54 sewage treatment plants in the country. After being treated, it can then be discharged or be reused for everything else except for human use. 

就如之前所提過的，台灣的汙水管覆蓋率只有達到百分之26，所以大部分的民生廢水都是直接排放到河水裡，那剩下的百分之26有接到下水道的，跑去哪裡呢？那些汙水最終會抵達台灣目前54座汙水處理廠中的一個，經過處理後，就可以安全排放，或是可直接再利用，只要不是用在人體上。
