An international study shows that marine debris on the northeast Pacific has increased by 100 times in the last 40 years with most coming from Asian countries and China being the first on that list. It is estimated that China dumps some 1.3 million to 3.5 million tons of plastic waste into the Pacific every year. We will show you how severe the problem is by visiting Taiwan’s Kinmen County where its shores pick up 10 tons of waste from China everyday.
